UV digital printing
Marking groupsUV printing is a non-contact, digital form of marking that involves printing an image directly from the computer's memory onto the product surface, and using the UV light to dry or cure the ink in order to make it resistant to external factors.
UV digital printing is a non-contact form of printing an image directly from the computer's memory onto the product surface, which results in almost photographic quality of the image. The ink distributed on the surface of the material is cured with UV light, which makes it resistant to water, moisture and sunlight. UV printing is a sustainable process since it does not require any chemicals. When UV printing on promotional products, we can use vector files or high-quality bitmaps (resolution no less than 300 dpi) while maintaining the original print sizes. NOTE: Digital printers use CMYK colours, therefore PANTONE, HKS, RGB and other colours will be converted automatically to the CMYK palette, which may cause minor differences in tones and shades that are beyond our control. When preparing files for UV printing, please include 2 mm in the design bleeds.
1. Precision - the Mimaki printers we use guarantee the highest quality of UV printing.
2. Repeatability - drying or curing the ink by the UV light guarantees that the print will not react with the product material and result in bleeding or spreading, and that ink application is identical with the design.
3. Print longevity - UV printing ensures very durable prints on polystyrenes, ABS and other plastics. Thanks to the use of various types of primers and clears, we can achieve permanent print on soft touch and metal surfaces.
4. Clean process - UV printing is a tidy and clean method, there is no need for direct contact of printing equipment with the product.
